Our sniper courses are designed to challenge and improve your sniper program. There is more to a police precision rifle (Sniper Rifle) than just pulling the trigger. In order to successfully deploy the rifle, the operator must have a thorough understanding of the weapon. A police marksman must have supreme understanding on what they are capable of. More importantly they need to understand what they can't do. This equates to knowledge and tactics. Our base course is a three day course designed to take a beginning police sniper and make them ready to deploy. During eight hours of lecture the officer will learn the fundementals of the rifle and the shooter. During the next two days the students will be tested on a variety of skills designed to increase thier shooting and decision making. They will be evaluated and critiqued during the training with the final evaluation being given to the team supervisor. The course introduces the officer to a variety of skills that they should continue to incorporate into their training evolutions. This course will provide the police precision marksman with everything they need to communicate and train in the sniper community. Topics Covered
Requirements Participants in this class should be actively assigned to the roll of sniper/police marksman. You should be physically fit and prepared for stress and physical exertion. We provide a positive training enviornment but it is real world training and designed to test your skills both mentally and physically. Weapon- Your weapon should be optically equipped with a quality scope capable of external adjustments for windage and elevation. The rifle must be capable of MOA accuracy. The weapon should be equipped with a bipod. If you are evaluating buying weapons a vareity of weapons can be provided for testing purposes. Contact us for details and needs. Ammunition- We advise that you use only quality match grade ammunition (Factory). We can provide the ammunition for the course if requested. Tactical Gear- Do not go out and buy additional gear for this course. If you are just beginning bring what you have and we will go over the advantages and disadvantages of various pieces of equipment. The items with an * by them are required to ensure course completion. As a general rule participants should bring all the gear they would normally take on a call out.
